La fecha de lanzamiento será un poco más tarde de lo previsto: el 8 de Mayo
en el Reino Unido. Nuevas fechas y detalles aparecerán próximamente. Como
caras B irán grabaciones en directo del Ed Hunter tour (¡¡genial!!).
Cmo datos no oficiales es muy posible que sea un título inspirado o basado
en la película del mismo nombre: The wicker man (El hombre de mimbre), un
film de 1973 del director Robin Hardy y protagonizada por Edward Woodward y
Christopher Lee. Trata sobre un policía que va a investigar una misteriosa
desaparición de una pequeña niña en una remota isla Escocesa. Allí
descubrirá indicios de que los lugareños esconden un siniestro secreto y
siguen una extraña religión pagana.
La portada del film muestra un enorme muñeco de mimbre ardiendo y si uno se
fija en la foto del video en que salen los Maiden parece haber un gran
muñeco de fondo quemándose lo que refuerza la hipótesis de inspiración en
este film de suspense/terror, que por supuesto, me apresuraré a ver en breve
;)
Como rumor aquí va lo siguiente: en recientes entrevistas Bruce comentó que
Wicker man era un título inédito de las sesiones del Accident of Birth a
incluir posiblemente en su próximo trabajo en solitario: Catacombs, una
recopilación de rarezas de Bruce Dickinson como la versión original de
Bring your daughter to the slaughter.
